- Sasha, Nastja and Tanja discuss the differences between Tallinn and Saint Petersburg (Piter). Their opinions differ as to which is preferable for going clubbing and shopping for clothes, and concerning their relationship to both Russians and Estonians.
Tanja and Sasha are brother and sister; Nastja is Sasha’s wife. All three grew up between Russia and Estonia, crossing the border daily. Having decided to be Estonian, Tanja now lives and works in Tallinn; whereas Sasha and Nastja, who speak only Russian, prefer to live in a Russian environment and have stayed in Ivangorod. Their argument is indicative of the different orientations chosen by young Russian-Estonian people from the border region.
The film was shot on the banks of the Narva river, which marks the border between Estonia and Russia.
